Technology Foresight 2026 (TF2026)

In TF2026, we developed a scenario analysis framework incorporating four new analytical dimensions—AI use cases, geopolitics, supply chains, and long-duration energy storage (LDES)—based on the emerging technologies identified in TF2025 as having strong potential for commercialization in the 2030s.

In addition, the framework assessed regional differences and market potential for a wide range of technologies under these scenarios.

To support these analyses, we identify and applied ten global forces (megatrends) expected to significantly influence business, society, the economy, culture, and individual lifestyles, thereby shaping the future world. These megatrends serve as a basis for identifying future technological growth opportunities and potential risks.
